This winter, Tschuggen Grand Hotel, Arosa, Switzerland is excited to unveil its new private Tschuggen Express ski lift, with state-of-the-art panoramic cabins and sleek single track.
Following a comprehensive overhaul of the existing cog railway with a hydraulic drive unit, the previous track has been replaced by the construction of a 535.5 metre single track and fully automated lift. Each of the new stylish round panoramic cabins seats six people. An innovative automatic level adjustment system ensures the cabins remain in a horizontal position at all times, offering guests a smooth journey which takes just two and a half minutes from the hotel to the slopes.
Tschuggen Grand remains the only hotel in Switzerland to have its own funicular which offers guests a perfect ski-in/ski-out opportunity, with the lift situated just yards from the ski room.
With a picturesque setting in Arosa in the Swiss Alps, Tschuggen Grand Hotel opens for the ski season on 29 November 2018 for their unique Private Mountain event, when hotel guests have exclusive access to the slopes for one day before the ski season officially starts.
