She has appeared alongside Hollywood stars including Tom Cruise, Meryl Streep and Christopher Walken, but now Louise Linton is stepping into the spotlight on her own.
The Scots actress is set for the biggest year yet in her burgeoning career with three upcoming major movie releases, including two leading lady roles and a part in an eagerly anticipated Warren Beatty blockbuster.
Buzz for Louise has been building with publications in the UK and the USA hailing her as one to watch. The California Chronicle included her on its “Hollywood Rising Stars” compilation and the UK’s Daily Record tipped her as “The Next Big Thing”.
Born in Scotland, Louise took her first title role on stage from the age of six. She was educated at the same school as Tony Blair – Fettes College – and is now on the Board of Trustees. Louise quickly decided that acting was her true passion, going on to attend the prestigious Edinburgh Drama Academy.
She went on to earn the coveted Honours Certificate from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts. Adding further strings to her bow, Louise received an undergraduate degree in Journalism from the Pepperdine University in Malibu and graduated from Law School last year with a “Juris Doctorate”- also winning the “Witkin” academic award for excellence – proving she is far from the typical Hollywood stereotype.
Emphasising her commitment to charity and philanthropy, Louise travelled to Zambia for more than six months where she volunteered during the Second Congolese War.
Travel is very much part and parcel of Louise’s job and she has had many experiences jet setting around the globe to far and wide locations.
What was the most memorable Amenity Bag you have received?
Swiss Air. Very nice skin care products.
Do you find them useful?
I rely on there being a good amenity bag on long haul flights and find them really convenient. No one wants to pack their own toothbrush and toothpaste to use on an airplane. Something unhygienic about it. It’s nice to throw things away after a flight for that reason. I put the airline socks over my own socks then grow them away at the end of the flight. Also, as creams over 3oz aren’t allowed in hand luggage it’s always nice when they provide good skin care products on board.
What is the best item to be included?
Facial cleansing wipes and facial/hand/lip moisturizers. Planes make me feel dehydrated and moisturizers compensate and smell lovely and fresh on the skin.
What would you like to see included but is not?
Mouthwash. I like to brush then rinse. It’s just a habit and I miss it on board.
Which is your preferred airline?
Convenience dictates my airline choice. I fly united as it has a good route from LA to Edinburgh and I’ve got miles. I love Swiss and KLM first class and am yet to try the “super airlines” like Singapore and Quantas or Emirates which I’ve heard are amazing.
