Air China will launch non-stop, four weekly flights from Gatwick to Beijing starting on the 2nd May 2012. The flights will operate on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
Services will depart Gatwick Airport at 13.15 and arrive at Beijing airport at 06:25 local time the following day. Return journeys will leave Beijing at 01:35 and arrive at Gatwick at 05:50 local time the same day.
The new services mean that Air China will operate to both Heathrow and Gatwick London airports. Air China will now not only offer more flight options to passengers, but also make it easier for passengers to make transfers in Beijing as a hub.
Mr Wu – Air China General Manager UK & Ireland told TravelPlus “Air China is committed in growing its services from China to the UK and the addition of London Gatwick to our UK operation will help absorb the solid and sustained growth for the foreseeable future for both passengers and cargo alike”
