Designed to combine a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere with excellent Modern British food Lowndes Bar & Kitchen offers all-day dining as well as a newly created cocktail and wine list. Diners can relax in low-level snug areas with coffee tables and Chesterfield tub armchairs perfect for a morning coffee with a pastry and a complimentary newspaper.
Those after a more formal gastronomic experience can settle at tables either inside or outside. The fabulous heated outdoor terrace is ideal for al fresco entertaining. The extensive menu carefully created by Head Chef, Martin Gabler, and his team caters to every possible whim. Morning Favourites include eggs benedict and omelettes.
The lunch menus signature dish is the Lowndes mango chicken salad, and the daily specials will feature a Salad Of The Day, ideal for working lunches or a mid-shop-stop. The A La Carte dinner menu includes oven roasted duck breast with sweet potato fondant and redcurrant jus and breaded lemon sole with sautéed tiger prawns in a white cream sauce.
For those with a mid-afternoon sweet tooth, the New York Cheesecake with mixed berries, carrot cake, lemon meringue and chocolate mascarpone should do the trick. Otherwise, opting for the ultimate indulgence, there are three afternoon teas to choose from: Lowndes Afternoon Tea, Chocolate Afternoon Tea and Champagne Afternoon Tea.
