Do you want to travel from Europe to Asia on the legendary Trans-Siberian railway for less than £250?
If you do then here’s how …
In addition to the usual 15% seasonal discount, Russian railways have introduced an unprecedented additional 50% discount. This additional discount applies to domestic second class tickets for travel before December 23rd 2011 that are booked at least 31 days in advance.
This means for the next 30 days travellers have the opportunity to book a trip a third of the way around the world on the world’s longest single railway from Moscow to the Pacific port of Vladivostok for less than £250!
Tickets for other popular routes, such as the famous night train “Red Arrow” between Moscow and St Petersburg are £45 or less and from Moscow to the hero city of Stalingrad on the banks of the Volga river for around £35.
Chris Watkins, managing director of Real Russia, told TravelPlus “This is a great opportunity for visitors to get out and explore Russia and experience its unique grandeur and people at a fraction of the cost it usually would. We are not sure this discount will be repeated next year and even though it has received virtually no publicity, it is already proving a great success, so we hope it will.”
